Slanina made his first career start, replacing
Jesse Bunting in the starting lineup.
St. John's made 15 of 31 three-point attempts, both season-highs for a Fordham opponent.
Fordham forced 16 St. John's turnovers and recorded eight steals. It was the first time in the past nine games that Fordham didn't finish with a double digit steals total.
The Rams are now 0-17 all-time at Carnesecca Arena.
