Cross Country Competes at St. John's Fall Festival

The Fordham University men's and women's cross country teams ventured into Queens today to compete at the 2011 St. John's Fall festival at Cunningham Park where the men won the team title while the women placed second.
Leading the men was Brian Walter, who won the individual championship, covering the 6K course in a time of 16:26.76, almost ten seconds ahead of teammate Thomas Kelly, who placed second in a time of 16:35.92.
The Rams had the top eleven runners in the race with Rich Grandelli (16:38.27), Jonathan Annelli (16:41.68) and Andrew Roddin (16:56.49) also scoring for Fordham, placing third through fifth, respectively.
Also running for the Fordham men were Tim Kazanjian (6th - 16:59.67), Devin Kelly (7th - 17:00.59), Joe Hartnett (8th - 17:13.15), Ben Delikat (9th - 17:20.94), Patrick Burke (10th - 17:45.01), Stephen Donnelly (11th - 18:12.09), Michael Bongiorno (13th - 18:32.04), Conor O'Malley (14th - 18:36.41), Mike Rossi (15th - 18:51.01) and Sean Atkinson (17th - 22:17.42).
For the women, St. John's won the team title with a score of 24 followed by Fordham at 31.
Other women competing for Fordham included Emily Osman (11th - 14:56.88), Jillian Brooks (12th - 15:01.99), Christina Vivinetto (14th - 15:06.95), Christina Machado (15th - 15:17.42), Kerry Sorenson (17th - 15:33.27), Siobhan Cooney (18th - 15:39.82), Elise Tigani (19th - 15:40.86), Shannon McKenna (20th - 16:04.96), Olivia Hustleby (21st - 16:05.63), Fallon France (22nd - 16:30.40), Kellen Fitzgerald (26th - 16:49.45) and Amanda Foggia (27th - 17:33.44).
The Rams will return to action on Saturday, October 29th, as they compete in the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship at Frank Liske Park in Charlotte, N.C.
