122 Fordham Student-Athletes Named to Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2011 semester

The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2011 semester. A total of 1,359 student-athletes were recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the fall semester. 13 Volleyball Student-Athletes Honored at Ninth Annual Breakfast for Champions
Five days after the New York Giants football fans feted their team with a victory parade in Manhattan, Fordham University recognized 307 student-athletes as champions at the Ninth Annual Breakfast for Champions in the McGinley Center, including 13 members of the volleyball program.[Full Story]

Fordham Volleyball Hires Brandon Crisp as Assistant Coach

Volleyball's Ewing & Daulton Named to COBRA Magazine All-Northeast Region Team
Fordham junior middle hitter Randi Ewing (Demarest, N.J./Dwight-Englewood School) and senior outside hitter Brittany Daulton (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) were named to COBRA Magazine's All-Northeast Region team, the magazine announced in its December issue.[Full Story]

Fordham's Krissy Buongiorno Named to the Atlantic 10 Volleyball All-Rookie Team
Fordham University's sophomore middle blocker Krissy Buongiorno (Ladera Ranch, Calif./Tesoro) was named to the 2011 Atlantic 10 Volleyball All-Rookie Team, it was announced on today by the league. Having missed her entire freshman season due to injury, Buongiorno is eligible for All-Rookie standing as this was her first year of competition.[Full Story]

Fordham Volleyball Senior Day Spoiled by George Washington
On a night where the Rams' honored their senior trio of Megan Arend, Kim Capicotto and Brittany Daulton, it was an eerie sense of déjà vu on Saturday night. Like Friday, the Rams led their Atlantic 10 match against the George Washington, two sets to one, but could not get the closing marker, as the Colonials rallied for a five-set victory. Volleyball Drops Five-Set Match To Charlotte
Leading two sets to one, the Fordham volleyball team looked primed to improve to 7-0 all-time against Charlotte at the friendly confines of the Rose Hill Gym on Friday. However, Bianca Rouse had other ideas as the Charlotte hitter accounted for 22 kills to lead the 49ers to a five-set comeback victory over the Rams.
