Heading into their final meets prior to the Atlantic 10 Championships, the Fordham track & field teams headed up to New Haven, Connecticut for the Giegengack Invitational, where the Rams had a pair of ECAC/IC4A qualifying times, as well as seven top ten finishes. [Full Story]

The Fordham track & field teams competed at the 2010 Metropolitan Indoor Championship over the past two days which stretched from Manhattan College on Friday to Yale University on Saturday. Despite the travel, Fordham performed well as the women placed fifth of 14 teams, while the men were sixth out of 13 teams. [Full Story]

The Fordham University men's and women's indoor track and field squads competed at the Armory Challenge on Saturday at the The Armory Track and Field Center in Manhattan where the Rams had three event winners on the men's side as Christopher Lyons won the 400m, Brian Schmidt took the 500m and Kevin Fitzgerald was first to cross the line in the 1000m. - Three Fordham Track & Field Athletes Earn Atlantic 10 Weekly Awards

Fordham University junior Brian Schmidt (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) and freshmen Sean Atkinson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Nazareth Regional) and Ashley Davis (El Sobrante, Calif./St. Mary's College HS) received Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field weekly honors today, for the week ending December 13th. Schmidt captured the Men's Performer of the Week award, while Atkinson and Davis picked up the respective Men's and Women's Rookie of the Week honors.[Full Story]

The Fordham indoor track & field teams opened their 2009-10 season on Friday night, as they hosted the Fordham Season Opener in the Vincent T. Lombardi Center Fieldhouse. The Rams played host to Iona, St. John's, Fairleigh Dickinson, Mercy, Stony Brook, St. Peter's, and Providence. No team scores were kept.[Full Story]

- 99 Fordham Student-Athletes Named to 2009 Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll

Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade today announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2009 semester, honoring each student-athlete in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.5 grade point average or better. Included on the list were 99 Fordham student-athletes, including nine from the women's track & field/cross country program.[Full Story]
