The Fordham men's & women's track & field teams were both honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) today, as both squads were named to the Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams for the 2010 season. A total of 224 teams, men and women combined, earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better. [Full Story]

The USTFCCCA also announced the women's 2010 Division I All-Academic Track & Field team. A record total of 551 student-athletes representing 150 institutions compose the group. Among those listed were Fordham graduate student Brigid Moriarty (Manchester Center, Vt./Burr and Burton Seminary) and junior Kerri Gallagher (Belle Harbor, N.Y./Bishop Kearney). [Full Story]

The Atlantic 10 announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2010 semester, honoring each student-athlete in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.5 grade point average or better. Included on the list were 17 members of the Fordham women's cross country/track and field program. [Full Story]

Fordham cross country/track & field head coach Tom Dewey announced the newest additions to the 2010-11 squad today, as 11 players have signed on with the Rams. Fordham's Brigid Moriarty and Kerri Gallagher put their best foot forward on Thursday night at Irwin Belk Track in Greensboro, North Carolina at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regional in an effort to qualify for the 2010 NCAA Championship. The field for the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regional was set this past weekend with two Fordham Rams being listed for competition in Greensboro, North Carolina, as graduate student Brigid Moriarty (Manchester, Vt./Burr & Burton Seminary) and junior Kerri Gallagher (Belle Harbor, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) will be in the mix for a possible NCAA Championship berth at North Carolina A&T's Irwin Belk Track.
