Women's Basketball Closes Out Regular Season with 22nd Win
The annual Flower Show was in Philadelphia this weekend and so was the Fordham women's basketball team, which is appropriate as everything seems to be coming up roses for the Rams, who are enjoying one of their most successful seasons to date, in 2012-2013. And that success continued today as four Rams scored in double figures, led by 15 from Erin Rooney, to help Fordham close out the regular season with a 58-44 Atlantic 10 win over Temple University in McGonigle Hall, snapping a 17-game losing streak to the Owls.

SERIES HISTORY: Fordham enters Sunday's game with a 5-23 mark all-time against Temple, having snapped a 17 game skid against the Owls in The City of Brotherly Love one week ago.

SCOUTING TEMPLE: The Owls run most of their offense through senior forward Victoria Macaulay, whose 14.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game lead the team.

Two other Owls came up huge for Temple in the team's 48-47 upset win over the number two seed Charlotte last night, as Rateska Brown poured in 23 points and Tyonna Williams added 14.

Fordham would advance to the A-10 Championship Game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday with a win, and a victory would give Coach Stephanie Gaitley number 500 for her illustrious career.
