Richmond, Va. - Fordham travels to Richmond, Va., on Feb. 3 to face the Richmond Spiders for an Atlantic 10 conference game at the Robins Center. The Rams and Spiders will tip off at noon on Wednesday.

The game will be live streamed via www.RichmondSpiders.com with play-by-play by Matt Smith along with live stats. Fordham's station, WFUV Radio, will also carry the game called by Tom Felice and color commentary by Chris Quagliata.

While Richmond will be trying to snap a three-game league losing streak, the Rams (8-14, 2-5 A-10) will look to capitalize off Saturday's 57-47 A-10 victory over La Salle with hopes of making it a two-game league-win streak for the first time since 2005-06.

The Rams have won two of their last three games played.

SCOUTING RICHMOND:
The Spiders (14-7, 3-3 A-10) are riding a three-game losing streak, their fi rst since Feb. 23-March 1, 2008. Most recently, Richmond is looking to rebound off a 79-60 loss against Duqesne (Jan. 30) at the Robins Center, where Duquesne used a 24-0 second half run to lead them to victory. Richmond's bench-play accounted for 27 of their points.

Richmond's losing streak began at Dayton, where the Spiders lost 83-31 to the Flyers in Ohio on Jan. 23. On Jan. 26, Richmond lost 60-46 at Charlotte.

The Spiders are led by Brittani Shells, a junior who averages 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 31.8 minutes per game. Shells leads the A-10 in scoring and steals (3.0 per game). In league play, Shell averages 14.5 ppg. Richmond is ranked fi rst in the A-10 and 22nd in the nation in steals.

RAMS VS. SPIDERS - THE SERIES:
Richmond has held the advantage over Fordham, winning the past seven games in series history. The Rams won the fi rst ever conference meeting between the two schools in 2002, winning 75-53.

Richmond is 4-0 over Fordham at the Robins Center. The Spiders average a +14.0 ppg margin of victory over the Rams and have won the lone neutral game at the Radisson Classic in 1988.

The last time the teams met at the Robins Center, Richmond won 80-62 (Feb. 2, 2008).

WHEN LAST THEY MET:
The teams last played each other on Feb. 24, 2009 at Rose Hill Gym. Richmond defeated Fordham 62-44 as three Richmond players scored in double fi gures. Fordham was led by Annie Zopf and Becky Peters with eight points each. Peters also led the team in rebounds with seven, and added three assists and one steal. Kristina Bell recorded seven points.

In the first half, Richmond outrebounded Fordham 24-16, the difference-maker with 11 second-chance points for the Spiders.

NOTES FROM LA SALLE:
In the first half, all of Fordham's points were scored by three of the Rams' starters. Tiffany Stokes, Becky Peters and Randall Hurst were the only Ram players to score. Hurst and Stokes had seven each, while Peters tallied six.

The 20-20 score at the half was a season-fi rst for the Rams, making the squad's record 1-0 when tied at the period break. Fordham is 6-4 overall when leading at halftime, 1-10 when trailing.

FORDHAM FIRSTS:
The Rams recorded their fi rst two-game conference home win-streak since 2005-06 with a win at home against La Salle on Jan. 30. In 2006, Fordham posted wins over Duquesne (Feb. 17) and Saint Louis (Feb. 26) when they defeated three of their last four opponents to secure a spot in the 2006 Atlantic 10 Tournament. The La Salle victory also marked the fi rst time the Rams recorded two Atlantic 10 wins since 2005-06.

STAT OF THE WEEK - 47:
In both of Fordham's A-10 wins this season, (vs. Rhode Island - Jan. 23, vs. La Salle - Jan. 30) the Rams held their opponents to just 47 points, the lowest point total by an opponent in 2009-10. Prior to the win against Rhode Island, the last time Fordham held a team to 47 points or less was against La Salle on Feb. 7, 2009, when the Rams defeated the Explorers 48-45 at Tom Gola Arena.
