05/14/2013 Gaitley Announces Dates for Annual Chalk TalkJune 21st Event Will Feature Discussion with Some of the Brightest Basketball Minds in the Area 02/11/2012 Rams Lose to Xavier in Overtime, 68-57Fordham Falls to 2-8 in the A-10 11/10/2011 Fordham Women's Basketball Opens 2011-12 Season with Albany on FridayRams Meet the Great Danes for the Second Consecutive Season Laura Forbes begins her second season with the Rams, following one season as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Monmouth University women's team under current Fordham head coach Stephanie Gaitley. Forbes' responsibilities for the Rams include overseeing the players in academic areas, such as study halls, meeting with academic advising, and serving as the liaison between players and faculty. Forbes is also in charge of equipment for the team, as well as assisting in recruiting, practices and scouting. A 2010 Monmouth graduate, Forbes served as a team captain in her final season playing for Coach Gaitley. An Eatontown, New Jersey native, Forbes was a four-year letterwinner in basketball, soccer and softball at Monmouth Regional High School in Tinton Falls, N.J. She helped the Golden Falcons' basketball team to an 80-25 record in her four years on the hardwood, leading the squad to the Central Jersey Group III State Championship her senior season and a number 10 ranking in the state. |
