Before Fordham: Member of the varsity cross country, outdoor track and basketball teams at Trumbull High School... Served as the team captain of the cross country team... First Team All-State and All-FCIAC selection for outdoor track as a senior, after breaking his own school record in the three-mile, as well as breaking the school's 3200 meter record and 4x800 relay marks... Named the Trumbull High School Male Athlete of the Year as well as the FCIAC Scholar Athlete of the Year... Named Second Team All-State and First Team All-FCIAC in cross country, after breaking the school record in the three-mile course... Named to the Connecticut Post All-Star team... Was an All-State and All-FCIAC selection for track as a junior, after breaking school records in the 4x800 and distance medley relays... Member of the National Honor Society...
