Ed Joyce, the former head coach of girl's track and field and cross country at St. Francis High School, begins his fourth season as a member of the Fordham track program after joining the Rams in 2005-06. He will assist with the horizontal jumps and throws. In the late 1970's and early 1980's, Joyce led the St. Francis girl's track and field and cross country teams to eight city championships. Following his tenure at St. Francis, Joyce served as the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Track Commissioner, helping the PSAL to numerous state and national titles. A 1970 graduate of St. John's University, Joyce was a member of the track and field squads while an undergraduate, winning various Metropolitan Championships. He is a certified USA Track and Field official. Joyce recently retired as an Assistant Principal with the New York City Board of Education, after serving with the Board of Education for 33 years. |
