The Atlantic 10 Conference established a new record for number of student-athletes, with 1,637 earning Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction for the Fall 2012 semester. Among those honored were 147 Fordham University student-athletes, the highest representation among the conference schools, including 23 members of the men's cross country/track & field team. A day after Fordham University recognized some of its finest athletes at the 2013 Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the school recognized 345 student-athletes as champions for their academic prowess at the tenth annual Breakfast for Champions in the McGinley Center Ballroom and Lounge, including 38 members of the men's cross country/track and field program. The Rams in attendance were honored for compiling a 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher at an event sponsored by the Fordham Athletic Department with assistance from the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the Office of Academic Advising. - Fordham Assistant Track & Field Coach Ed Joyce Passes Away

Fordham Athletics mourned the loss of assistant cross country/track & field coach Ed Joyce on Sunday, as he passed away early Sunday morning at Calvary Hospice in the Bronx, after a long bout with cancer. Coach Joyce was honored with a moment of silence prior to the start of Sunday's men's basketball game between Fordham and Massachusetts.[Full Story]

- Fordham's Cross Country & Track Teams Help With Hurricane Sandy Aftermath

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, plenty of volunteers have stepped up to the plate to assist in the clean-up effort and pitch in to help those in the deepest of need. The Fordham's cross country and track teams, which have a number of student-athlete from affected areas, dove in this week to assist those efforts. The team got involved in two major projects, one here in the Bronx and one on Long Island.[Full Story]

Competing in brisk conditions in Madison, Connecticut, the Fordham cross country teams made their way to the 2012 NCAA Northeast XC Regional on Friday. The Fordham men placed 25th out of 34 teams, while the women were 26th out of 37 teams.[Full Story]
