THREE WATER POLO PLAYERS NAMED TO ACWPC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
(April 6, 2006) ¨C The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches has released its 2005 All-Academic Team with three Fordham Rams garnering All-Academic honors. Senior Kevin O¡¯Neill (Reno, NV/Bishop Manogue Catholic) leads the trio, earning All-Academic honors for the third straight year, while junior Jon Almy (West Simbury, CT/Phillips Exeter Academy) and freshman Tim Will (Surfside, FL/Miami Beach Sr.) are on the team for the first time.
O¡¯Neill, a Psychology major, was a four-year starter for Fordham, helping the Rams win nine contests this season, the most in recent memory. He finished the year with three goals and 12 steals.
Almy, a Finance major, served as one of the team¡¯s co-captains this past season. He finished the season with three goals on the year to go with 13 steals.
Will, a Fordham College student, was the Rams¡¯ starting netminder this season. In 21 games, he recorded 156 saves and 52 steals.
