Swimming Continues Competition at Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Fordham University men's and women's swimming and diving squads continued to compete at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday with the women's team standing in fifth place and the men seventh.
Bucknell leads the women's competition with 886 points followed by Delaware (878), La Salle (708.5), Georgetown (655), Fordham (563), Binghamton (468.5) and Yale (106).
In the men's team competition, Yale leads the men's team race with 1077 points followed by Delaware (858.5), Bucknell (776), La Salle (581), Binghamton (562), Georgetown (416) and Fordham (409.5).
The Rams had one event winner on Saturday with Brienne Ryan taking the 100 backstroke in a time of 55.13 while she also placed fourth in the 100 butterfly in a season-best time of 56.41, just 0.38 seconds behind the winner.
Other women scoring for the women included Megan Gehrich, who placed fourth in the 400 IM (season-best 4:32.86), Alana Biagioli, who was seventh in the 200 free (1:55.56), Kelly Carroll, who finished eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.51), Shannon Lulley, who was ninth in the 100 fly (57.97) and 21st in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.50), Jordan Tomimatsu, who placed eleventh in the 100 back (58.98), Kara Field, who took 12th in the 200 free (1:55.46), Anna Marshall, who was 12th in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.68), Miranda Morton, who took 13th in the 100 fly (58.63), Spencer Chappell, who finished 13th in the 100 back (59.37) and 23rd in the 10 fly (59.96), Megan Zarriello, who was 18th in the 200 free (1:56.88), Shannon Jones, who placed 19th in the 100 fly (59.51), Chandler Lulley, who placed 21st in the 100 back (1:00.18), Victoria McGovern, who took 22nd in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.47), Theresa Goehring, who placed 22nd in the 100 back (1:00.20) and 23rd in the 200 free (1:59.18), Maureen McKenna, who placed 23rd in the 100 back (1:00.25), Aurelia O'Keefe, who took 24th in the 100 fly (1:00.16) and Frances Warren, who was 24th in the 400 IM (4:45.89).
Other scorers for the men include Zachary Jacobsen, who was 11th in the 400 IM (4:08.41) and 24th in the 100 breaststroke (season-best 1:01.54), Kevin Kosciuk, who took 12th in the 400 IM (4:08.86), Thomas Yi, who was 13th in the 100 back (season-best 52.50), Michael Grimmett-Norris, who placed 13th in the 400 IM (4:10.32) and 24th in the 100 back (53.77), Patrick Militti, who took 14th in the 100 fly (51.85), Eamon Trebilcock, who was 15th in the 400 IM (4:14.23).
In relays, the women's 200 medley relay of Ryan, Carroll, Shannon Lulley and Biagioli placed fifth in 1:48.31 while the B team of Tomimatsu, Marshall, Morton and Chandler Lulley placed tenth (1:50.42).
In men's relays, the Fordham 200 medley relay of Yi, Ben Dwyer, Noguchi and Militti placed 13th in 1:37.11.
