Was also a part of a third school record at the Atlantic 10 Championship in the 800 freestyle relay that clocked in 6:41.92... Scored in two other events at the Championship, taking fifth in the 400 individual medley (3:59.92) and 12th in the 500 freestyle (4:32.34)... Won multiple events in 10 meets... Won the 100 butterfly (53.06) and 100 breaststroke (1:01.47) against St. Francis (NY)... Won both the 500 and 1000 freestyle events in meets against Massachusetts, Rider, and Yale... Had four meets where he won three individual events... Won the 1000 freestyle (9:33.81), 500 freestyle (4:40.75), and 200 butterfly (1:55.52) against La Salle... Broke the school record in the 500 freestyle event at the Bucknell Invitational, clocking in at 4:29.82... Won the 500 (4:35.18) and 1650 (15:40.61) freestyle at the Princeton Invitational... Before Fordham: Swam for two seasons with the Renton High School team, as well as for the Bellevue Club Swim Team... State champion in the 500 freestyle (All-America Consideration), setting the Washington State Boys' State Championship record in that event... Was a Summer and Winter USA Swimming Junior Nationals participant, and the Pacific Northwest Swimming Male Athlete of the Year... Part of Bellevue's North America Challenge Cup Team, where he was named the 2011 Pacific Northwest Swimming Male Athlete of the Meet... Posted Senior National Qualifying marks in the 500 and 1650 freestyle events at the 2011 December Short Course Championship... Registered Junior National Qualifiers in the 200 freestyle, 1000 freestyle and 200 butterfly events and was named High Point Male Athlete of the Meet... Two-time Scholastic All-American Award recipient... Served as a U.S. Youth Ambassador to Qatar (2011) and as a Seattle Seafair Ambassador to Kobe, Japan... Received the U.S. Congressional Award, been named the Volunteer of the Year by the NW Burn Foundation, and served as the Editor/Writer/Publisher of the Pacific Northwest Swimming Newsletter.
