The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the 2008 Men's Soccer Preseason All-Conference and All-Rookie teams this afternoon. On the men's side, Fordham senior John Pardini (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown) was the Rams' lone representative named to the Preseason All-Conference team. [Full Story]

The Atlantic 10 today announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2008 semester, honoring each student-athlete in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.5 grade point average. A total of 1,104 student-athletes were honored, including 72 from Fordham, as members of the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring of 2008. [Full Story]

Fordham Men's Soccer Coach Jim McElderry has announced the addition of seven incoming players today for the 2008 season. Forward Aaron Markowitz (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hastings), midfielder/defender Andreas Pafitis (Bayside, N.Y./St. Demetrios), goalkeeper Greg O'Brien (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), goalkeeper John Coster (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy), midfielder Matt DesRoches (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield), defender Phil Ferrantello (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. John the Baptist), and forward Ryan Dicce (Landenberg, Pa./Kennett) will suit up for Fordham next season. Goalkeeper Ryan Meara (Yonkers, N.Y./Fordham Prep), defender Alberto Gajano (Chatham, N.J./Chatham), midfielder Michael Caputo (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire), midfielder Sam Jolly (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier), and midfielder/forward Matt Courtenay (Louisville, Ky./DuPont Manual) will all suit up for the Rams in 2008.[Full Story]

- 14 Fordham University Men's Soccer Student-Athletes Honored At Fifth Annual Breakfast for Champions

Over 200 Fordham University student-athletes were honored for compiling a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the Fifth Annual Breakfast for Champions held on January 27th in the McGinley Center Ballroom. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced the 2007 adidas Men's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams this afternoon. Two Fordham players earned All-Region honors as junior John Pardini (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown) and senior Kevin Meyer (South Windsor, Conn./East Catholic) both earned Second Team honors.[Full Story]
