Football Travels to #21 Cincinnati

The Fordham University football Rams continue their 2012 season on Saturday as they travel to Cincinnati to face the University of Cincinnati Bearcats from the BIG EAST conference at 7:00 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
Fordham enters the game with a 4-2 record and is coming off a 38-31 Patriot League win over Georgetown University last Saturday on Jack Coffey Field. Cincinnati, ranked 21st in the latest AP poll and 20th in the USA Today poll, enters the contest with a 4-0 record after defeating Miami (OH) University, 52-14, in Cincinnati last week.
This will be the first meeting between Fordham and Cincinnati on the gridiron. The Rams are 13-13-2 all-time against schools currently playing BIG EAST football (5-0 against Temple, 5-8-1 versus Rutgers, 2-4-1 against Syracuse and 1-1 vs. Connecticut). The last time the Rams faced a NCAA FBS team was last year when Fordham fell to Army in West Point. Prior to last year, the previous meeting with an NCAA FCS team for the Rams was in 1995 when Fordham fell to Buffalo, 49-13, to open the season. The last victory for the Rams over an NCAA FBS team was in 1954 when the Rams defeated Rutgers, 13-7, at Rutgers.
