Andrew Warsaw joins head coach Joe Moorhead's Fordham staff as the director of football operations after serving in the same capacity as well as recruiting coordinator at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y., last fall. At the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy last year, Warsaw was charged with planning and executing all phases of operations with the football program, including budgeting, travel and arranging recruiting visits. He also created a weekly newsletter for alumni and parents. Prior to his stay at Kings Point, Warsaw served as the assistant director of football operations at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010, helping the Quakers to the 2010 Ivy League title. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations for the football program as well as assisting with the logistics of clinics and football camps at Penn and helping to arrange official visits with recruits. Warsaw received his start in the football profession as an intern at Villanova University in 2009 where he played a vital role in recruiting and assisted with the breakdown of film. The Wildcats won the NCAA FCS national championship in 2009. A 2009 graduate of the University of West Virginia, Warsaw served as a student manager all four years as an undergraduate. He helped in preparations for two bowl game appearances by the Mountaineers, the 2008 Fiesta Bowl, after West Virginia won the 2007 BIG EAST title, and the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl. |
