Before Fordham: A graduate of St. John's in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, where he played football for head coach John Andreoli... named All-State in 2009 by both the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald... made the Massachusetts Coaches Association Super 26 team as one of top two quarterbacks in the state.. a 2009 team captain... 2009 Team MVP... led 2009 squad to a Division I-A Super Bowl championship... 2009 & 2008 All-League...set St. John's Shrewsbury School records for single season by completing 132 of 240 passes for 2,109 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior... also led team rushing with 696 yards on 92 carries with eight scores... transferred in as a junior from Northwest Catholic in West Hartford, Connecticut, and completed 34 of 62 passes for 532 yards and six touchdowns in just four games... also played with the baseball team at St. John's High School.
