Recipient of the 2013 Danowski Award, given annually to the senior football player who through his leadership, sacrifice, and commitment to excellence upon the field of play and within the University community... earned First Team Capital One Academic All-District honors as well as Academic All-Patriot League accolades in 2012... a 2012 Allstate AFCA Good Works award recipient... a three-year starter in the defensive backfield... moved into the starting lineup at free safety in 2010 and started there again in 2011... fifth on the 2011 squad in total tackles... represents the football team on the Student Athlete Advisory Council... recipient of the 2012 Kiwanis Community Service Award at the Block F Dinner... joined with teammate William DeLuca to organize "Reps for Kids", a fundraiser for the Michael J. Armstrong Foundation last April... fourth on the 2010 squad in tackles... made three stops in 2011 Spring Game... appeared in ten games as a freshman, gaining valuable experience in the defensive backfield... named to the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Patriot League Honor Roll.
2012: Started all eleven games at free safety as a senior... recorded 41 total tackles, 23 solo... also had two interceptions and four pass breakups... finished with a season-high eight tackles at Bucknell... closed out season with seven tackles, two solo, against Colgate... made seven stops, three solo, and picked of a pass in the Georgetown game... had six total tackles, five solo, at Villanova... finished with four stops, two solo, and broke up two passes at Columbia... had three tackles, two solo, and intercepted a pass against Lafayette.
2011: Appeared in all eleven games as a junior, starting ten... finished year with 53 total tackles, 35 solo, including one for loss... also had two pass breakups, one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble... recorded a season-high nine tackles, four solo, and had a quarterback hurry at Georgetown... made eight tackles, six solo, including 0.5 for loss, and forced a fumble at Army... registered six total tackles, four solo, at Colgate... opened season with five solo stops at Connecticut and closed out the year with five tackles, four solo, in the season finale with Holy Cross... also had five tackles, three solo, against Bucknell and five stops, two solo, versus Lehigh... finished with four tackles, three solo, at Penn.
2010: Appeared in all eleven games for the Rams as a sophomore, starting eight at free safety... fourth on the team with 64 total tackles and third on squad with 47 solo stops... also had five tackles for loss, three pass deflections, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one sack... ranked 23rd in the Patriot League in tackles/game (5.8)... made a career-best ten tackles, eight solo, in the win over Rhode Island... matched that with ten more, six solo, at Lehigh... finished with seven tackles, including four solo and one sack, in the Georgetown win... added two pass break ups and an interception that led to Fordham's third touchdown in the Georgetown game... registered seven tackles, including five solo and one for loss, in the season finale with Colgate... made six tackles, including four solo and one for loss, and recovered a fumble in the Liberty Cup victory over Columbia... made five solo stops at Holy Cross and five total tackles, four solo, and one pass deflection in the Assumption game... registered five tackles, including four solo and one for loss, in the win over Lafayette... had three stops, two solo, and intercepted a pass that led to Fordham's final touchdown, in the victory at Bucknell.
2009: Appeared in ten games as a freshman... registered eight total tackles, six solo, and recovered one fumble... finished with four solo tackles in the win at Cornell... made two stops in the victory over Old Dominion... also had a pair of tackles at Lafayette.
Before Fordham: A graduate of Danbury High School in Danbury, Connecticut, where he lettered in football for head coach Rick Davis... earned First Team All-FCIAC honors as a senior... a First Team All-Area pick in 2008... Honorable Mention All-Conference selection as a junior... served as a captain of football and track teams... member of the All-American distance medley relay team... ran with the sprint medley relay as a senior, setting a state open record while earning All-State (Class LL) and All-FCIAC honors... member of the school record-setting 4x200 relay that placed 13th at indoor nationals as well as earning All-State honors (Class LL) and All-FCIAC honors... earned indoor All-State and All-New England honors with the 4x400 relay as a sophomore... earned All-FCIAC honors with indoor track as a freshman... also the starting centerfielder on baseball team... earned Academic All-State honors for baseball... member of the National Honor Society... student body president as a junior and senior... elected to Mayoral Task Force...
