21 Football Student-Athletes Honored at Sixth Annual Breakfast for Champions

On a day when the NFL will crown a champion, Fordham University recognized 275 student-athletes as champions, including 21 members of the football program. The Rams in attendance were honored for compiling a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the Sixth Annual Breakfast for Champions in the McGinley Center Ballroom. [Full Story]

  • Fordham University senior quarterback John Skelton has been invited to participate in the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine from February 24th through March 2nd in Indianapolis, Indiana, it was announced today.   • The All-America honors are piling up for Fordham University senior wider receiver Jason Caldwell (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's). His most recent honor was being named Championship Subdivision (FCS) Honorable Mention All-America by the College Sporting News on December 29th. He previously was named Second Team FCS All-America by The Sports Network and Third Team Associated Press FCS All-America last week. Caldwell also was named to the ECAC FCS All-Star Team and First Team All-Patriot League.[Full Story]

  • Fordham University senior wider receiver Jason Caldwell was named Third Team Associated Press Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-America team, announced on Wednesday. In addition, Caldwell, who is the first Ram to earn Associated Press All-American honors since punter Ben Dato in 2007, was also named to the ECAC FCS All-Star Team, where he is joined by senior offensive lineman Andrew Tyshovnytsky on the squad.[Full Story]
