Football's Darryl Whiting Signs Free Agent Contract with Tennessee Titans

Fordham University senior running back Darryl Whiting (E. Elmhurst, N.Y./Holy Cross) signed an NFL free agent contract with the Tennessee Titans it was announced by the team. He becomes the third Ram in the past two years to sign an NFL free agent contract, joining Isa Abdul-Quddus and Stephen Skelton, who signed with the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals, respectively, last year. Ann Mara and Dan Somma Honored at Annual Fordham Gridiron Club Dinner

Ann Mara, wife of late New York Giants owner Wellington Mara, FCRH `37 and recipient of an honorary degree from Fordham University, and the Dan Somma, GSB '66, a former football Ram and one of the founders of the Gridiron Club, were honored with the Walsh Award and the Mara Family Award, respectively, at the annual Fordham Gridiron Club Dinner held at the Jumeirah Essex House on April 27th. Offense and Defense Show Progress in Annual Spring Football Game

There was a lot for new Fordham head coach football Joe Moorhead to like at today's annual Maroon and White Spring Football game on Murphy Field. It's not uncommon to see Fordham student-athletes in the Walsh Varsity Training Center, after all, it's where they work out. Fordham Football Players Help Build Prayer Garden
Last Saturday, members of the Fordham University football squad traded in their receiving and blocking gloves for a pair of garden gloves as they helped clean out a garden area at St. Martin of Tours in the Bronx that will be converted into a prayer garden for members of the community.[Full Story]
