Men's Basketball Faces Loyola on Saturday at 4:00 PM (ET)

Chicago, Ill. - The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2011-12 schedule on Saturday when they travel to Chicago, Illinois, to face fellow Jesuit school, Loyola University, in the Gentile Center at 4:00 p.m. (ET). The game can be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on wfuv.org and will be video streamed live on www.horizonleague.org. You can also follow the game by clicking on the links below: Fordham enters the game with a 1-1 record after defeating Binghamton in its home opener, 64-49, last Friday night. Loyola enters the game with a 0-4 record, after falling, 63-51, at Furman on Sunday. THE LOYOLA SERIES <.br>Saturday afternoon's contest will be the first ever meeting between Jesuit schools Fordham and Loyola... Fordham is 3-2 all-time against schools currently in the Horizon League (3-1 against Detroit and 0-1 versus Butler).. This is Fordham's first visit to the Windy City since February 7, 1990 when the Rams fell to DePaul, 51-38 (the Rams played DePaul in the Preseason NIT in 2001 but the game was played in Rockford as DePaul's home arena was being used by the circus). Moving into its fourth year, the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight is a nationwide effort to capitalize on basketball games between Jesuit schools and, through those games, bring greater positive awareness and exposure to Jesuit education and its shared mission. This project was developed by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) in response to member institutions wanting to spread the word of Jesuit higher education through the approximately 300 games (men's and women's) played between Jesuit opponents last three seasons.
