Zayn Jenkins, a 2007 graduate of Hampton University, begins his second season as the Director of Men's Basketball Operations at Fordham University. Jenkins joins the Fordham staff after serving as an associate instructor at the University of Indiana in 2008, where he was responsible for creating and distributing various workout programs for the students as well as evaluating daily workouts. Prior to his stay in Bloomington, Jenkins was the head intern for the Hampton University men's basketball program in 2006-07. His duties included assisting the coaching staff with daily activities, developing recruitment mail-outs and preparing all game footage for film exchange. While at Hampton, Jenkins worked at various basketball camps, including the 2006 Kevin Nickelberry and 2006 Boo Williams Basketball Camps. He also served as a marketing intern with the Pirates in 2005, organizing halftime shows and partnering with local community sponsors. Jenkins received a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Hampton in 2007, earning Dean's List and Academic and Departmental honors. He also earned a masters degree from Indiana in August of 2008 in Athletic Administration, where he was a member of the Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society. |
