On a day when the NFL will crown a champion, Fordham University recognized 275 student-athletes as champions, including four members of the men's basketball program. The Rams in attendance were honored for compiling a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the Sixth Annual Breakfast for Champions in the McGinley Center Ballroom. [Full Story]

Fordham University freshman forward Chris Gaston was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week it was announced by the conference office today. This is the second straight week in which Gaston has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week, the fourth time this season. [Full Story]

Coming off a 108-60 loss at Xavier last Sunday, no one knew what to expect from the Fordham men's basketball team on Saturday as they hosted Charlotte. But what the Rams showed their fans is that young players are resilient and if head coach Jared Grasso is given a week to prepare the Rams can hang with anyone, giving the first-place 49ers all they could handle before falling, 77-72, in an Atlantic 10 game in the Rose Hill Gym. To have a chance to beat Xavier, who entered the game with the top-ranked Atlantic 10 offense, Fordham knew it would have to try and limit the scoring Musketeers' chances while maximizing its own opportunities. And the Rams held their own for much of the first half before seeing Xavier explode for 63 second half points as Xavier defeated Fordham, 108-60, in an Atlantic 10 contest at the Cintas Center.[Full Story]

Fordham University freshman forward Chris Gaston was named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week it was announced by the conference office today. This is the third A-10 Rookie of the Week award for Gaston, who also received the accolade on December 13th and January 3rd. He shares the honor with La Salle's Aaric Murray.[Full Story]

The Fordham University men's basketball squad worked exclusively on defense and rebounding in the two days leading up to today's game against #16/17 Temple University. The Rams controlled the boards for the full 40 minutes today but could only clamp down defensively for the first 20 as the Owls exploded for 40 second half points en route to a 65-42 Atlantic 10 win over Fordham in the Rose Hill Gym.[Full Story]
