02/22/2009 Baseball vs. FAUThe Fordham baseball team wrapped up their series with FAU on February 22nd. Will move to the bullpen in 2010... Transfer from Wallace State, who saw time as a starting pitcher and as a reliever in his first two seasons... Showed good arm strength and altered his delivery to become a more effective pitcher... Drafted out of high school by Tampa Bay. 2009: Became a mid-week starter in his second season at Fordham... Made 12 appearances with eight starts... Recorded an 0-3 record with a 7.22 ERA in 38.2 innings pitched with 16 strikeouts on the year... Gave up two runs, one earned, on one hit in 4.2 innings of relief work versus Saint Joseph's (4/5)... Struck out three batters in two innings of work while only giving up one run at Duquesne (4/11)... Threw five scoreless innings of four-hit ball while striking out five in a start against Columbia (4/15)... Worked through three near-perfect innings, giving up only one walk in a start against St. John's (4/22). 2008: Made six appearances in his first season at Fordham, including three starts... Went 0-1 with a 9.17 ERA in 17.2 innings of work... Posted ten strikeouts... Took the loss in his first start at UNC-Wilmington, allowing four earned runs in two innings (3/1)... Had his best outing in a start at Rutgers, throwing five shutout innings, giving up just four hits with four strikeouts (4/15)... Gave up one earned run in 2.1 innings of relief against Xavier (5/11). Before Fordham: Transfer from Wallace State. High School: Multi-sport athlete at Cold Spring Harbor High School... Played varsity soccer, hockey and baseball... Served as team captain of the baseball team... Two-time All-Conference selection in 2005 and 2006... Opened his senior year with three consecutive no-hitters (20 hitless innings)... Drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 40th round out of high school... Played summer ball for the Long Island Tigers.
