Two of the longest tenured baseball program's met for the first time ever on Friday, as the Fordham Rams and Michigan Wolverines opened up a three-game set at the New York Mets Spring Training Facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida. By game's end, Michigan's Anthony Toth and Coley Crank each tallied three hits, as the Wolverines outlasted the Rams, 8-6. [Full Story]

The Fordham baseball team's southern swing through Florida finishes up this weekend with a three-game set against Michigan at the New York Mets Spring Training Complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Surprisingly, this will be the first ever meetings in baseball between Fordham and Michigan, considering Fordham is in its 150th season and Michigan is in its 145th season. [Full Story]

Looking for a possible sweep, the Fordham baseball team got into a wild finale on Wednesday against the 11th-ranked Miami Hurricanes at Alex Rodriguez Park in Coral Gables, Fla. In the end, Miami's Frank Ratcliff scored the deciding run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Hurricanes a 9-8 win. [Full Story]

Last week, it was Fordham softball taking down a ranked ACC powerhouse in Georgia Tech. On Tuesday, it was Fordham baseball's turn, as the Rams defeated the 11th ranked Miami Hurricanes, 4-3, behind a three-RBI night by Angelo Ponte at Alex Rodriguez Park in Coral Gables, Fla. It was Fordham's first win over Miami in nine all-time games, and the first over a ranked opponent since 2005.[Full Story]

The Atlantic 10 today announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2009 semester, honoring each student-athlete in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.5 grade point average or better. Included on the list were four members of the Fordham baseball program.[Full Story]
