Fordham baseball coach Nick Restaino announced the hiring of Anthony DeCicco as pitching coach today. DeCicco just concluded his sixth season on the Vermont coaching staff in 2008. He arrived at Vermont from Eastern Connecticut State where he was on the staff of the 2002 NCAA Division III National Champions. [Full Story]

- Fordham's Tom Davis Named To ECAC All-Star Second Team

Former Fordham University pitcher Tom Davis (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) was named to the ECAC Baseball Division I All-Star Second Team today. This is the third postseason accolade for Davis after earning the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year award and First Team All-Atlantic 10 in late May.[Full Story]

Fordham University senior pitcher Tom Davis (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) was selected at the 16th round (pick #495) of the 2008 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft by the San Diego Padres this afternoon. He is the first Ram to be drafted today, and the second player from the Atlantic 10. He is now the ninth Fordham baseball draft pick in the past seven seasons.[Full Story]

- Three Fordham Baseball Players Named To Atlantic 10 All-Conference Teams

The 2008 Atlantic 10 All-Conference baseball awards were annouced today, as three Fordham players were named among the Atlantic 10's best. Leading the way, senior starting pitcher Tom Davis was named the 2008 Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year, as well as First Team All-Atlantic 10. Senior shortstop Rich Goulian joined Davis on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team, while senior second baseman Eric Reese was Atlantic 10 All-Conference Honorable Mention and Academic All-Conference.[Full Story]

It was a career game for Rich Goulian that came, quite appropriately, in his final career game for Fordham. The senior short stop went 4-for-5 with a double a home run and five RBI to lead the Rams to a 13-10 season-ending Atlantic 10 win over Massachusetts at Earl Lorden Field.[Full Story]

In his final collegiate start, Fordham's Tom Davis did exactly what he's done over the past four seasons: Give the Rams' a quality start and a chance to win. Davis once again came through for the Rams with seven strong innings, as Fordham topped Massachusetts, 4-3, at Earl Lorden Field in Amherst, Mass.[Full Story]
