It was the last game of the season and the final career game for nine Fordham University seniors baseball players and acting head coach Jimmy Jackson did his best to get all nine playing time, managing to see eight of the seniors take the field, as the Rams fell to St. Bonaventure University, 9-1, at Houlihan Park. The 2013 Fordham University baseball season hasn't exactly gone according to plan, especially for the seniors who were hoping to close out their careers with a trip to the Atlantic 10 Championship. But two Fordham seniors stepped up today to help the Rams sweep a doubleheader from St. Bonaventure as Joseph Charest threw a complete game, seven-hitter in the first game, and Ryan Lee homered and drove in four runs in the nightcap to lead Fordham to identical 5-3 wins at Houlihan Park. The Fordham baseball team will close out its 2013 campaign by hosting the St. Bonaventure University Bonnies on a three-game Atlantic 10 series at Houlihan Park beginning with a doubleheader on Thursday starting at noon. [Full Story]

- Baseball Wins Resumed Game in Extra Innings, But Drops Rubber Game to Richmond

After being suspended in the top of the seventh inning on Saturday, the Fordham Rams still needed more time to put away the Richmond Spiders in game two of their Atlantic 10 series. It wasn't until the bottom of the 12th inning, when Ryan Lee singled home Ian Edmiston to give Fordham a 2-1 walk-off win over the Spiders. In the series finale, Richmond earned a 6-2 win to capture the series.[Full Story]

- Baseball Game Suspended in Top of Seventh

Fordham and Richmond decided to move the start time of today's Atlantic 10 game up two hours in order to beat impending rain storms. The two teams were able to get in six innings but with the score tied at one in the top of the seventh, the game was suspended by the weather and will be resumed on Sunday at noon prior to the regularly scheduled game.[Full Story]

- Baseball Comeback Falls Short

For the second straight game, the Fordham University baseball squad scored four times in the ninth. But unlike the previous game where the four runs sent the game to extra innings where the Rams won, tonight the four runs were one shy of what the squad needed as the Rams fell to the University of Richmond, 9-8, in an Atlantic 10 game at Houlihan Park.[Full Story]

- Baseball Completes Sweep of UMass With Wild Extra-Inning Comeback Win

Just about a year ago, Fordham and Massachusetts played an epic extra-inning softball contest in the Bronx. On Sunday, it was the baseball version, as the Rams and Minutemen went 15 innings at Earl Lorden Field. In the end, Fordham's Rob McCunney, a Massachusetts native, was the difference maker, posting his first career five-hit game, which included the go-ahead solo home run in the top of the 15th in an 11-9 win, completing a sweep for the Rams.[Full Story]

After two straight solid offensive performances, the Fordham baseball team relied on good pitching and defense on Saturday, as Chris Pike tossed his second complete game of the season in a 2-1 victory over the Massachusetts Minutemen at Earl Lorden Field in Amherst, Massachusetts.[Full Story]
