New Haven, Conn. - The Fordham University squash team wrapped up their 2006-07 season with a 7-2 loss to Columbia University at the CSA Team Championships held at Yale University. With the loss, the Rams close out the year with a 6-10 record.

Steve Sangiacomo and Ben Ehrman were responsible for the two Fordham points with Sangiacomo defeating Columbia's John Kamfonas in straight games at the sixth position (9-6, 9-6 and 10-8) while Ehrman bested Su Zhu at the seventh spot in straight games (9-2 9-5 9-3).

Both players went undefeated at the CSA Team Championship, each compiling a 3-0 record.

The Rams almost picked up another point at the fourth spot as Mike Hennessey took the first two games from William Lai by identical 9-6 scores before Lai came back to win the last three games (9-1, 9-7 and 9-5).

Fordham had two other matches go five games as Peter Zipf dropped the first game at the third position to Columbia's Thommen Ollapally, 9-5, before taking the second, 9-3. Zipf then lost the third game 9-2 and won the fourth, 10-8, to force a fifth and deciding game which Ollapally won, 9-3.

In the fifth spot, Fordham's Ryan McFarland won two of the first three games (10-8, 6-9 and 9-3) before dropping the final two to Jake Mason.
