Squash Posts 7-2 Win Over Bryant at 2012 CSA Team Championship

Princeton, N.J. - The Fordham squash team rebounded from Friday's loss to Illinois on Saturday by defeating Bryant University, 7-2, in the consolation bracket of the Sereus Cup Division at the 2012 CSA Team Championship.
Fordham went into the match with a 3-0 lead, as Bryant was shorthanded and had to default the #7, #8, and #9 matches to the Rams.
Fordham then posted victories at the #3 through #6 slots for the 7-2 match win. Jack O'Brien was the top winner, ousting Cole Rochon at #3, 11-6, 11-6, and 17-15, while Raymond Chen was a winner at #5 over Phil Carr, 11-2, 11-4, and 11-4.
Alex Williams (#6) also had a straight sets win over Bryant's Dmytro Bashchynskyy, 11-2, 11-4, and 11-4.
Eli Plangger (#4) was the final Rams' winner, as he topped Samir Kothari in four sets, 11-13, 11-5, 11-2, and 11-6.
The Rams move on to the consolation final of the Sereus Cup Division on Sunday, as the team takes on Vanderbilt at 11:30 AM.
