Bronx, N.Y. - It's Homecoming Weekend for Fordham alumni and fans, and the schedule is packed with Fordham Athletics events right here at Rose Hill. It'll be an all Maroon & White weekend with the Volleyball, Football, and Women's Soccer teams hosting games this weekend. Look below to check out who's playing who on campus.
Friday, September 24th Beryl and John Lyons Football Locker Room Dedication - 6:00 PM - Across from Jack Coffey Field's Gate C Join the football Rams on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. as they formally dedicate the Beryl and John Lyons Football Locker Room, located the in Rose Hill Gym. A generous $1 million donation from distinguished Fordham University alumnus John Lyons, FCRH '50, made in memory of his loving wife Beryl, resulted in the state-of-the-art football locker room. The gift spearheaded a renovation of the old Rose Hill Gym swimming pool into a brand new football locker room, complete with state of the art technology, quality equipment, televisions, sound system, meeting space, and ample space for players to prepare on game day. Volleyball vs. La Salle - 7:00 PM - Rose Hill Gym (Maroon Weekend - T-Shirt Giveaway) Get your Homecoming Weekend started on Friday night, as the Fordham volleyball team opens Atlantic 10 conference play against the La Salle Explorers. All fans in attendance will receive a FREE Maroon T-Shirt to show your support for the team.
Saturday, September 25th Football vs. Assumption - 1:00 PM - Jack Coffey Field
Watch | GameTracker | WFUV Audio The Fordham football team returns to Jack Coffey Field to face the Assumption College Greyhounds a non-conference game as a part of Homecoming 2010.
Fordham enters the game off back-to-back wins against Rhode Island and Columbia, and look to improve its record to 3-1 this season. This will be the first meeting between Fordham and Assumption on the gridiron. Volleyball vs. Temple - 7:00 PM - Rose Hill Gym (Maroon Weekend - T-Shirt Giveaway) Homecoming Weekend continues later on Saturday, as the Fordham volleyball team has their second Atlantic 10 conference match of the weekend against the Temple Owls. Sunday, September 26th Women's Soccer vs. Army - 1:00 PM - Jack Coffey Field - Alumni Day The Fordham women's soccer team wraps up Homecoming Weekend as it hosts Army for a 1:00 PM showdown. It will also be Alumni Day for the women's soccer team, as they welcome back former players throughout the day. |
