Fordham answered with a four-run fifth inning to cut the deficit in half to an 8-4 game.  Richard Grund started the rally with a one-out single and moved to second on a wild pitch.  After a walk to Chris Genaro, Will Findlay connected on a three-run home run to left, his second of the season.  Then after Jack Harnisch reached second on a dropped third strike and error, David Kale lined an RBI-single to center to score Harnisch.

Dayton's Ryan Steinhauer (2-3) then put an end to the comeback, retiring 12 straight batters after the Kale single to lock up a 10-4 win for the Flyers.
