Bronx, N.Y. - Scott Donnelly, who has worked in the UMass Lowell athletic department since 2007, was named Associate Athletic Director of Marketing, Promotions and Tickets at Fordham University it was announced today by Director of Athletic Dave Roach.

"We are excited that Scott has chosen to join the Fordham Athletic department," said Roach. "He brings terrific experience and expertise in marketing and promotions to Rose Hill and we look forward to having him on our staff." Â

In his new position, Donnelly will be responsible for developing and coordinating all marketing and promotional activities for Fordham University's 22 varsity teams and design ticket marketing plans to promote fan attendance. He will also coordinate and implement all game-day promotional activities and contests and use social media to further the marketing and branding efforts of individual sports and Fordham Athletics.

A native of Ramsey, N.J., Donnelly comes to Fordham after eight years at UMass Lowell. He joined the River Hawks in 2007 as the External Affairs Coordinator and most recently was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions in 2013.
During his time at UMass Lowell, Donnelly managed the season, group and individual ticket sales strategies as well as event entertainment for the athlete department.
Under Donnelly's leadership, UMass Lowell experienced a marked increase in attendance, particularly with the University's ice hockey program. The River Hawks have seen an 80% increase in attendance since 2007 - due, in part, to a collection of nationally-recognized promotions. Over the past eight years, UMass Lowell has earned twenty-one NACMA 'Best Of' Awards across a variety of categories.
With the advent of the Division I era, the River Hawks have also set records for basketball attendance, aided in large part to a single-game attendance high at the Tsongas Center against UNH on January 25, 2014 (3,717).
Prior to his stint at UMass Lowell, Donnelly served as the marketing and public relations intern at Hockey East in 2006-07 season and he held a similar position at Parsons Kellogg in East Providence, RI, prior to his year with Hockey East.

A 2006 graduate of Providence College, Donnelly graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in marketing. In 2010, he completed his master's degree in business administration at UMass Lowell.
