After an excellent start to their season, Football's Chase Edmonds and Women's Soccer's Jessica Widmann have been selected as the Zipcar Performers of the Month for August/September.
Through the first four games of the season, Edmonds was the Rams' leading rusher and receiver, helping the Rams to a 3-1 record, which included wins over Army, Columbia, and Monmouth. Individually, he ran for 420 yards and five touchdowns and caught 17 passes for 237 yards and three more touchdowns. His biggest effort of the month came at Army West Point, where he rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns, while also hauling in six catches for 140 yards. Edmonds was selected as the NCAA FCS Offensive Player of the Week for that performance and has moved up to eighth on the Rams' career rushing yards list.
As for Widmann, she has already set career-highs in goals, game-winning goals, and points, leading Fordham to a 6-3-0 record and an NSCAA Regional Ranking. She led Fordham and the Atlantic 10 with seven goals and 15 points by the end of September, while recording game-winning goals in games against Wagner, the Citadel, and Columbia. Her best offensive output in a single-game was a five-point game (two goals and an assist) at the Citadel.
