Hall of Fame
A 1909 team captain, Frank Gargan spent eight seasons as the head coach of the Fordham football team, racking up a record of 63-29-4 against college opponents, as the Rams played countless other games against military teams and other organizations during that time frame.
He led the Rams to five seasons of at least nine wins (1916, 1917, 1919, 1924, and 1925) and left as the team's all-time winningest coach.
Gargan also played football and baseball at Fordham, setting a school record in baseball with three triples in the same game (at Eastern - 1910).
