In his third year on the Fordham Sports Medicine staff, Dave Zippo is the primary athletic trainer for football, baseball, water polo, rowing and squash.

Prior to Fordham, Zippo served as an athletic training intern at Iona College since 2002, where he was responsible for prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of the Gaels' student-athletes.

Prior to that, Zippo served as an Athletic Training Student at Portchester High School during the 2002-03 academic year, managing and overseeing all healthcare needs for all sports.

During the 2001-02 academic year, Zippo was an Athletic Training Student at Manhattanville College, working exclusively with the nationally ranked NCAA Division III men's and women's hockey teams.

A 2004 graduate of Dominican College, Zippo received his degree in Athletic Training after graduating from Westchester Community College in 1999 with a degree in Math and Science. He was also an assistant baseball coach for the WCC Vikings from 1997-99.

Zippo is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) as well as a New York State Licensed Athletic Trainer. He is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training and First Aid and by the American Heart Association in CPR/AED & First Aid.
