Captain of the Fordham football team in 1935, Joe Maniaci became an outstanding fullback in pro ball with the Chicago Bears, and ranked among the rushing leaders several seasons. He coached Bainbridge Naval Station's grid squad to the service championship in 1943 and 1944, later was head coach at St. Louis University. |
