Swimming & Diving Sweeps Atlantic 10 Weekly Awards

Four members of the Fordham swimming & diving teams swept this week's Atlantic 10 weekly awards, as seniors Tressa Dunn (Weston, Mass./Mercersburg) and Justin Coombs (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) were named Atlantic 10 Women's and Men's Performer of the Week, respectively, while freshmen Brienne Ryan (Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall) and Devon Morris (Kirkland, Wash./The Bush School) received the women's and men's Rookie of the Week accolades, it was announced today. [Full Story]

Fordham University Student-Athletes Honored At Sixth Annual Breakfast for Champions

On a day when the NFL will crown a champion, Fordham University recognized 275 student-athletes as champions. The Rams in attendance were honored for compiling a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the Sixth Annual Breakfast for Champions in the McGinley Center Ballroom. [Full Story]

Fordham's Chris Gaston Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

Men's Basketball Gives First-Place Charlotte a Scare Before Falling 77-72

Coming off a 108-60 loss at Xavier last Sunday, no one knew what to expect from the Fordham men's basketball team on Saturday as they hosted Charlotte. But what the Rams showed their fans is that young players are resilient and if head coach Jared Grasso is given a week to prepare the Rams can hang with anyone, giving the first-place 49ers all they could handle before falling, 77-72, in an Atlantic 10 game in the Rose Hill Gym. [Full Story]

  • Despite A Career-Day From Willingham, Rams Lose To Minutewomen, 60-50
  • Despite a 16-point, career-best effort from sophomore guard Tyonna Willingham (Cary, N.C.), the Fordham women's basketball team rallied just a little too late as the Massachusetts Minutewomen defeated the Rams, 60-50 in Atlantic 10 action on Saturday afternoon at the Mullins Center.[Full Story]
